Q: What is the difference between a sky lantern display and sky lantern boxes?
Our sky lantern boxes are for personal use and enables you to release lanterns by yourself or with the help of friends at your special event. A display involves the Light a Lantern display team lighting and releasing 60-150 sky lanterns by remote control technology at your chosen location whilst you relax and enjoy the spectacle. Sky lantern displays are only available in the UK.
Q: Do you have Public Liability insurance for organised displays?
Yes, safety is extremely important to Light a Lantern and we ensure that every precaution is taken to ensure our organised lantern displays are safe. Light a Lantern has £5 million Public Liability insurance.

Light a Lantern aims to post your order by the next working day once orders have been placed and payment received.- UK orders will be sent using Royal Mail and should arrive within 2-3 days.
- US and European orders should arrive within 10 working days.
Q: Are sky lanterns easy to release yourself?
Yes, they arrive to you in a flat packed box, ready to be ignited and released. There is no need to add additional fuel or an accelerant before lighting the lantern wick. All Light a Lantern sky lantern boxes contain release and safety instructions. Sky lanterns are simple to release and do not require the use of any special tools, just a little safety sense!
