Light a Lantern Terms & Conditions

Light a Lantern aims to post all orders by the next working day once orders have been placed, and payment is received.

Delivery Cost and Duration

Compliments and Complaints

Light a Lantern is happy to hear from you at any time. If you have a complaint please contact Light a Lantern by email or call us on 07717 872 229 and we will do all we can to resolve the problem.

Refunds and Exchanges

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We endeavour to supply only the best quality goods, however, our "no quibbles" guarantee means that if you are not entirely happy with our goods and the item is unused and in a re-saleable condition (the packaging is intact and there are no marks on the product) you can notify us within seven working days and then return the product for a replacement, exchange or full refund.

All products returned to us will be thoroughly checked by our Returns Department and only then will a refund, replacement or exchange be authorised and processed. Returns are usually processed within 7 working days of receipt. A refund will be made in the same form of payment that was used to make the initial purchase. You will be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted goods. We will refund the returns postage for faulty/ damaged or incorrect goods (see below).

In the case of a sky lantern display provided by Light a Lantern, you have seven working days to cancel your display from the day we receive your deposit cheque to receive a full refund.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

All our products are individually checked before posting. However, in the unlikely event of an item being faulty, damaged or incorrect then please contact Light a Lantern by email or on 07717 872 229 within a reasonable period of time, quoting your order number, your name and address, details of the product and the reason for return, and whether you require a refund or a replacement.

If you are returning an item that is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will happily refund your costs in returning it to us (please enclose a copy of your postage receipt when you return the item, so that we know how much to refund you for your postage). Your original delivery charge will also be refunded if you are returning the whole order and you have requested a refund for the goods. Any items returned to us should include all parts, accessories, instructions and packaging where possible.

The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.

How are Duties and Taxes Calculated?

Light a Lantern is registered for UK VAT. You will be charged VAT on your purchase. Please note that all shipments outside the UK may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the shipment reaches your country. As Light a Lantern has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be, additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you.

What is our Privacy Policy?

Light a Lantern is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information we collect about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly to process your order and secondly, to provide you with the best possible service.

Light a Lantern will automatically add you to our mailing list to receive details of special offers and new ranges. Please let us know if you don’t wish to be included. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by contacting Light a Lantern or calling us on 07717 872 229. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law. If you have other queries, please do not hesitate and contact Light a Lantern.

Specification or price of any product is subject to change without prior notification. You are advised to confirm current specification and price before buying. None of the contents of our Terms & Conditions supercede any statutory consumer rights you have under UK law.
